Oprah’s sister Patricia Lloyd was announced today to the public and the press throughout the world. Oprah Winfrey had kept her half sister a secret from the world for most of her life. But now it is known that the very famous talk show host has a new family member for the press to follow.
The story behind the sister is that when Oprah was just nine years of age, her mother, whose name is Vernita Lee, was not only pregnant, but gave up her baby for adoption. At this time, she had no idea that she had a new member of her family, nor did she even know that her own mom was pregnant.
During the talk show today, she introduced all her millions and millions of viewers to her sister Patricia. The show also showed a very dramatic and emotional video of them expressing how they feel about the situation, and Oprah was very pleased with how her sis handled the situation and didn’t go to the press or anyone and make a big deal about it until her family approved of her decision to go public with the matter.
